The service provided small businesses with beautifully designed, handcrafted products that allow them to better manage their most important asset: Their people.

I founded HuddleHR in 2012 because I was frustrated with the tools I had to use as an employee. A whole generation has grown up using the Internet. User tastes and expectations have become more sophisticated because of services like Amazon, Facebook and the cornucopia of apps on our mobile devices. Users are expecting the same level of usability and design from the software their employers make them use.

Peter Levine, a partner at the Venture Capital firm Andreessen Horowitz posed this question during an interview: “we use a computer to work, and find that our work apps are completely onerous and the apps we use at home are quite easy, we wonder why can't it be simpler, easier, quicker, and less expensive?"
